Great Book with great example
I think the author, Scott Worley, did an excellent job to explain a lot of areas in the brand new platform with many useful code examples. Highly recommend for people who want to learn more about ASP.NETI have been working with ASP.NET for a few months now. In the beginning, I try to find a book with some real juice on the topic. But I found most of them are very similar to the QuickStart examples that provided with the platform. So, I dig my head into the free example and the beta quality documentation instead. Then, I came across this book last week. After I flip through a few chapters in the bookstore, I decide too have this book in my programming collection. Although I already have a few months of experience on the platform, I am excited to learn that this book still able to offer me some new information and it help to clear up some other topics for me as well. Such as security, state and cache management etc. At the end of the book, Scott put together a massive example project (compare to others books) that recap all the topics and show how they work together. You can't find this in most of the books.

A very usefull reference for the Intermediate developer
This book, is a very usefulll reference for the intermediate to advanced developer, its covers a myriad of topics, some which are not mentioned in other ASP.NET books, certainly not the ones I own, some of the best chapters in the book in my opinion were the following:Web Services XML and ASP.NET Directory Services Messeging Services Custom Control Development A very good, and direct chapter on ADO.NET and my personal favourite, Localizing ASP.NET Applications I am using this book in conjunction with Stephen Walthers ASP.NET Unleashed book, and find them both indespensible, where one book is weak the other is strong, yes there is some overlap, but seeing the same good from two obviously skilled writers and system engineers, lets the reader see more than one way to solve a common problem. I recommend both books whole heartedly!

Another great book by New Riders
This is one good book on ASP.NET, I brought this book after buying and being impressed by the other new riders ASP.NET publication Debugging ASP.NET.And I am glad to say, this is an action I definately do not regret.
